Boxtrainer-legend Fritz Sdunek is dead

"In my breast there beats a Boxer heart"

still said Fritz Sdunek November this year.

But now it beats no more. The trainer legend, who formed the Klitschko brothesr and made them knockout machines, died of heart attack in Hamburg. He was only 67 years old.

Fritz Sdunek, who was an amateur boxer between 1963 and 1972 himself and won 99 of his 129 fights, coached in his career as a trainer between 1972 and 2009 known boxers like Firat Arslan, Wladimir Klischko, Vitali Klitschko, Dariusz Michalczewski, Ralf Rocchigiani, Felix Sturm and Sebastian Zbik.

After being diagnosed skin cancer, Fritz Sdunek withdraw 2009 from boxing almost completely only continued the coaching of Vitali Klischko and Felix Sturm.

Shortly before Károly Balzsay was the 11th boxer who became boxing world champion under the coaching of Fritz Sdunek.

Boxing not only lost a legendary and one of the very best boxtrainers but also a very special person. He not only leaves a huge void for boxing, but will also be hardly missed by his family.

So all my thoughts and condolence belong to his family and friends.
