Photographer Chris Helgren from Reuters used the D-Day-anniversary of Operation Overlord and pictures, which were taking during the invasion of the Normandy in 1944, as an opportunity to do the same pictures at the exact same places 70 years later.

The outcome is a collection of pictures which were able to impress my a lot put in contrast to it's originals, catching time and history of it's places.

The Globe And Mail put together an article where they arranged the pictures of now and then in a powerful and impressive way.
