Rookie Nico Hülkenberg wins the Le Mans 24 Hours

Nico Hülkenberg, Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber, formerly the least-favoured Prosche trio, put in an amazing performance and are the first rookie winners for 17 years.

The rookie triple ends a sequence of five consecutive Audi wins. Additionally it's the 17th Le Mans win for Porsche, even completing a 1-2 with the #19 and #17 Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1.

Throughout it was the expected head-to-head race between Porsche and Audi with 26 changes of leadership only decided by the faultless 24 Hours by Porsche #19 and the impressive rookie's performance.

Congratulations go to Nico Hülkenberg, Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber for their memorable victory!
